The lively Jan Thiel Beach is just a 6-minute drive from TUK. This beach offers many amenities with no fewer than 4 different beach bars: Koko's, Zanzibar, Zest, and Papagayo.

In addition to enjoying the sun on a bed and taking a dip in the wonderful sea water, you can choose from various restaurants, and it is a perfect child-friendly place. You also have access to a wonderful spa, a shop, and a diving school here.

On Saturdays there is Happy Hour at Zanzibar from 5 to 6! The perfect place to spend the whole day!

Tip! Book a Palapa online in advance to enjoy the ultimate experience and be assured of a good berth!

Mambo Beach

Stone-free | Baby & Child Friendly | No currents/waves | Beach bars | Happy hours

Perhaps the most famous beach in Curaçao is just a 9-minute drive from TUK: Mambo Beach!

You’ll find the following beach bars: Mood Beach, Cabana, Wet&Wild, Madero, Bonita, Rileks, Chill & Hemingway. It’s especially known as a hotspot for young people to party and enjoy happy hours in the evening. During the day, you can soak up the lively atmosphere, shop in the beach boutiques, and dine at a variety of restaurants.

For little ones, it’s a great beach where you can walk safely—no high waves or strong currents to worry about.

Grote Knip

Snorkeling | Natural beach | Local

One of the most popular beaches can be found on the west side of Curaçao: The Grote Knip, also called 'Playa Kenepa Grandi'. It is about an hour's drive from TUK.

When you arrive at the beach, you’re greeted with a stunning view of the white sandy shore and crystal-clear blue water. The beach is surrounded by trees and forest, offering plenty of shady spots to relax.

There’s no entrance fee, and you're welcome to bring your own food and drinks—which is why many enjoy a delicious barbecue here in the evening.

We recommend combining this beach visit with nearby spots like Playa Lagun or Kleine Knip for a full west coast beach day experience.

Playa Kalki

Westpoint | Natural beach | Raft

Playa Kalki is one of the westernmost beaches on the island, located at the very end of the Weg naar Westpunt.

From the parking lot, you walk down the stairs to the beach, restaurant, and diving school. On the beach, you can rent beach beds and lounge beds or treat yourself to a relaxing massage.

A fun feature of this beach is the two rafts in the water with chairs on them—you can easily swim out to them!

There are some stones as you enter the water at Playa Kalki, but with water shoes, you’ll have no trouble at all.

The beach was recently renovated and now features the new restaurant "Cast Away", where they host Happy Hour every Friday and Saturday from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m.

Playa Lagun

Turtles | Snorkeling | Local

Playa Lagun is one of the smallest, but also one of the most beautiful beaches in Curaçao. This beach is about 50 minutes from TUK.

With its colorful tropical fish and vibrant coral, it’s the perfect spot for snorkeling! With a bit of luck, you might even swim among sea turtles.

You can also stop here for a snack and a drink. If you walk up the stairs, you’ll reach Bahia Beach Bar, which offers a stunning view of the sea.

Cas Abao Beach

Natural Beach | Large | Snorkeling & Diving | Banana Boat

Cas Abao is located on the south coast of Curaçao, about a 45-minute drive from TUK Jan Thiel.

There’s plenty to do on this beach! You’ll find a diving school, a beach bar for snacks and drinks, and fun activities like banana boat rides and canoe rentals. You can even enjoy a relaxing massage by the sea.

With its clear blue water and white sand, Cas Abao is a must-see during your stay on the island!

Porto Marie

Pig Beach | Local | Snorkeling | Restaurant | Child friendly

Just the road to this beach is quite an experience — during the 40-minute drive you’ll pass Jan Kok Bay where you can spot flamingos and see the beautiful church of Sint Willibrordus.

Playa Porto Marie is located on the south coast of Curaçao and is famous for the beach with the pigs. These friendly pigs roam around, sometimes taking a refreshing dip in the sea or looking for snacks.

There is plenty to do here: enjoy a snack and a drink on the spacious terrace overlooking the water, relax on the beach beds, or admire the underwater world while snorkeling.

Also super fun — there is a lookout tower above the parking lot where you can enjoy a beautiful view over the stunning blue water.
